Main Influences

For our project, we carried out different secondary research. E.g, Women In Black and The Conjuring.

We decide that the Women In Black was the most suited to our ideas as the opening scene has tea cups and little children which we wanted to try and incorporate into our own opening. We thought that the olden day colours and effects were clever and created more tension as the olden days are commonly thought of to be scary and unwelcoming.

Some things that show how we used women in black as our influence are the tea cups as mentioned before. You can see the picture on the Left used china tea cups and tea pot, however, as we didn't have enough money or time to find them, so we had to use plastic ones bought from Pound-land.

As the pictures above show, we tried to use dolls in a dolls-house, however, we could not get our hands on bug china dolls so we used little wishing dolls instead. We used dolls as it manipulates the train of childhood innocence and creates an odd tension atmosphere. The women in Black gave us different ideas and allowed us to explore different angles.
